BEACH HOPPING ADVENTURES
Amongst our popular beach tours in Sri Lanka, this special journey of discovery lets you probe into
the mysteries of the ocean, get up close with dolphins and explore one of the largest natural
harbours in the world. There’s everything from surfing to snorkelling on offer too. Of course, best of
all, you can just immerse yourself in the luxury of some of the best beaches on the island.
DAY 01 - AIRPORT | KALPITIYA
When you arrive at the airport you will be met by a Ceylon one representative.
Transfer from the airport to Kalpitiya; 130 km north of the Bandaranaike International Airport, this
idyllic coastal region can be found along the western coastline, north of the commercial capital,
Colombo. The peninsula lies nestled in between Puttalam’s deep lagoon to the east and while to the
west is the vast Indian Ocean. Kalpitiya features a marine sanctuary rich in diversity and is home to
a wide range of habitats; these include vast sand dune beaches, bar reefs, mangrove swamps, flat
coastal plains, salt marshes and saltpans.

DAY 02 - KALPITIYA
After a hearty breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure and adventure in Kalpitiya.

If interested, take part in a thrilling whale watching excursion, a not to be missed activity in Kalpitiya.
On your voyage, you may see playful spinner dolphins frolicking in the water, while glimpses of
sperm whales and an occasional blue whale are amongst the unforgettable sights one can look
forward to.

DAY 03 - KALPITIYA | TRINCOMALEE
After breakfast, make your way to Trincomalee on the eastern shores.
Featuring one of the world’s largest natural harbours, this destination is also home to idyllic beaches
and a charming town.

DAY 04 - TRINCOMALEE
A full day of leisure at the beach marks a new day.
Koneswaram Temple, the Pigeon Island National Park and Marble Beach are some of the attractions
one can visit. You can even indulge in some snorkelling and witness truly stunning marine life

DAY 05 - TRINCOMALEE | PASSIKUDA
After a hearty breakfast, make your way to Passikuda.
This is a place where the sea is characterized by its crystal-clear water and is renowned for an
extended coastline that is quite shallow, making it the perfect spot for soaking up the sun and
swimming. White sandy beaches create a paradise one will never forget.

DAY 06 - PASSIKUDA | ARUGAM BAY
After a relaxed breakfast, it’s time to proceed to Arugam Bay.
This destination is a place popular amongst water sports enthusiasts, especially surfers; in fact, it is
one of the world’s top ten surf points.

DAY 07 - ARUGAM BAY
After breakfast, a full day of leisure at the beach is yours to enjoy relaxing on the shore or surfing the
waves in pure freedom.

DAY 08 - ARUGAM BAY | GALLE
Following breakfast, head to Galle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Once the chief port of Sri Lanka (then known as Ceylon), Galle is a town that boasts a rich colonial
heritage; during the 17th century it was once the key stronghold for the Dutch during which time the
awe-inspiring Galle Fort was constructed, and still stands to this day. One of south-east Asia’s best-
preserved colonial-era cities, the city of Galle has also been listed as a World Heritage Site
As part of your travels, you can also witness the unique stilt fishermen in Koggala as part of your
adventures.

DAY 09 – GALLE
Following breakfast, head to the well-known Aangama Turtle Hatchery.
You can also embark on a boat excursion along the Madu River. This trip affords an amazing
opportunity to see some of the hundreds of species of flora and fauna in the area – monkeys feast
on fruits amidst the branches and water monitors glide slowly in the water; egrets, kingfishers and
cormorants look patiently from the river banks, as they keep a watchful eye on the water for their
next meal.
Visit a mask factory in Ambalangoda, where you can witness brilliant handicrafts being made by
local artisans and see how painstakingly they create marvellous works of art.

DAY 09 – GALLE | AIRPORT
After breakfast make your way to the airport for departure.
